In 2015, the company introduced innovative products such as the Automatic Changeover with Current Limiter (ACCL) and the Euro II series of Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCBs) and Residual Current Circuit Breakers (RCCBs). These products were entirely designed and manufactured in India, aligning with the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
The ACCL is a fully automatic, high-precision microcontroller-based device that facilitates seamless transition between main power supply and generator supply, ensuring efficient power distribution and minimizing downtime. The Euro II series, developed by Havells’ in-house R&D team, offers enhanced protection against overloads, short circuits, and electric shocks, catering to the safety requirements of modern consumers.
In 2019, Havells launched a new series of technologically advanced MCBs and RCCBs, offering a six-year warranty—the first of its kind in the industry. This initiative aimed to strengthen the company’s leadership in the domestic switchgear segment, where it already held a 27% market share. The new range was designed to accommodate the increasing use of electrical gadgets, addressing the resultant load on electrical circuits.
Continuing its focus on innovation, Havells introduced the ST^Dx range in 2022, an intuitive and performance-driven protection device. This smart switchgear allows for remote monitoring and control, ensuring enhanced safety through preventive maintenance and real-time energy consumption tracking. The integration of Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities reflects Havells’ commitment to adopting advanced technologies in its product offerings.
